(A plucky sort of geezer)
Fell in love with a dame
Jennie Street is her name
And all he does now is to please her.
Jennie went on a blind date
And perhaps it was all down to fate
But imagine her joy
When she fell for a boy
Who forgave her for being so late!
When Jennie and John got together
It was clear they were birds of a feather
She said "I'm gonna marry you!"
And he said "Please do!"
And now they're forever together!
