We came for a wedding at Hartington Hall
Where, after quizzes and curry and coffee and football
The erection parties
And flower hearties
Got ready for John and Jen's nuptial.

I know a young lass called Jen
Up north she's often called hen
Who met John Beazer
A lovely geezer
And married him in the pygmy goat pen!

I know a train spotter from Sheffield
Who fell for a web buff, real love indeed
The couple got married
Completely unhurried
At Hartington Hall their fate was sealed.

In Hartington arrive John and Jennie
To their Youth Hostel wedding came many
With hearts all around
Prizes did abound
But none greater than John's prize of Jennie.
